Preparing Online School Students for Graduation

 

Connections Academy provides in-depth support to ensure that online school students understand their graduation requirements and are well prepared for life beyond high school.

High School Graduation Requirements
 

Students must successfully earn a minimum of 23 credits to graduate, complete a graduation project, take a college entrance exam, and also pass state tests. Be sure to check your school handbook for updates. The course credits required to graduate include: 

  • Language arts: 4.5 credits
  • Math: 3 credits (including Algebra, Geometry and any other Math course) 
  • Science: 3 credits (including Biology, Physical Science and any other Science course)
  • Social studies: 2.5 credits (U.S. History, Government, and Economics)
  • Health and Physical Education: 0.5 credits
  • Humanities: 1 credit
  • Additional required electives: 8.5 credits
