Georgia State Law requires every student to meet required instructional hours of:

  • Grade K-5: 25 hours per week, based on a 5 day work week
  • Grades 6–12: 28 hours per week, based on a 5 day work week

No. Many lessons will be completed on the computer, but others involve time reading while away from the computer, or completing science experiments in a kitchen or other room.

Georgia Connections Academy cannot enroll any students who are currently under terms of suspension or expulsion from their schools.

Yes, public schools in Georgia are required by law to admnister all standardized tests such as the Georgia Milestones End of Course Test, Georgia Milestones End of Grade Test, G-Kids, and any additional state mandated tests required for your student. Additional state mandated tests required for your student could include assessments for English Language Learners (ELL) or The Georgia Alternate Assessment (GAA), depending on student's needs. Testing centers are set up across the state for students to attend testing in person. Families are assigned to locations based on their physical address.

We serve students throughout the entire state of Georgia, including the Northeast Georgia Mountains Region, Classic South Region, Scenic Southwest Georgia Region and Coastal Georgia Region.
