Candi Horsley is a middle and high school teacher at Washington Connections Academy (WACA). She began teaching in 2011 and joined WACA in 2019. She earned a secondary teaching bachelor’s degree in social studies from Eastern Washington University, a master’s in curriculum and instruction with a technology add-on from the University of Phoenix, and a master’s in European history and American history from the American Public University System. Ms. Horsley shares more about her experience below:
“I became a teacher to educate my students so that they are prepared to be contributing members of society.
“Online school gives me the opportunity to reach all of my students through their individual learning styles. Teaching at Washington Connections Academy allows me to teach from my home office so I can be home and assist my nephew along with having more flexibility. Washington Connections Academy also allows students to learn in a safe, individualized environment so they can focus on school.
“At Washington Connections Academy, your children can learn in a safe environment where they can spread their wings and learn with an individualized plan for them.”
When she is not teaching, Ms. Horsley enjoys spending time with family, going to Disneyland, reading, listening to music, going to concerts, watching movies, hanging out with her “kittie spawns,” and visiting with friends.
