Why I Became a Teacher
I always knew I wanted to be a teacher because of the positive impact my teachers and coaches had on me growing up. I absolutely love team Utah Connections Academy and our online learning community. My favorite thing about this school is the people — we have the best students, parents, staff, and administrators.
The Online School Experience at Utah Connections Academy
I love the one-on-one support we offer students, plus our frequent check-ins to make sure all is well with them. I also love all the clubs this school offers and the fun experiences they provide outside the regular course curriculum. My favorite field trip was when we were able to take the school’s student news crew to visit my husband's work, The Diesel Brothers reality TV series.
Utah Connections Academy places a strong emphasis on each student’s future and what they need to do to achieve their career and higher education dreams and goals. If you were to ask any parent of any one of our students, I believe they’d all agree that this school goes above and beyond reaching out to students and families, ensuring their success at our school.
My Hobbies and Interests
In my personal life, I’m married and a busy mom to four kids. My favorite activities include Friday night movie nights, beach vacations, celebrating the Fourth of July, running in the beautiful Utah mountains, and cheering my kids on in their sports activities.
"I love that at Utah Connections Academy, students can do their schoolwork anywhere, anytime."
