Dr. Brita Lindsey joined Texas Connections Academy @ Houston in 2015 and became the school leader in 2021. She is a Texas-certified science educator, school counselor, and principal, earning her doctorate in professional leadership at the University of Houston in 2021. Dr. Lindsey enjoys working with the various teams that support Texas Connections Academy families and students. She shares more below!
Why I Became an Educator
I became an educator to follow in the footsteps of my maternal aunt, former school principal Dr. Brenda Kinion; I stayed an educator because I believe every child deserves and needs a champion. I have a passion for supporting staff, educators, families, and students.
The Online School Experience at Texas Connections Academy
The virtual setting provides a unique opportunity to positively touch the lives of students and families who need a non-traditional school setting to flourish. Our school empowers, educates, and elevates every person within the Texas Connections Academy family. We believe everyone deserves the opportunity to grow and glow as they pursue their dreams.
I love working with the various teams that support my families and students and anyone affiliated with Texas Connections Academy! My absolute favorite part of my job is watching my students successfully leave us better than when they joined us.
