SCCA student Cameron playing tennis

Cameron Kriscunas is a high school student attending South Carolina Connections Academy (SCCA). She lives on Hilton Head Island with her mom, dad, and younger brother, Cade. Cameron’s passion is tennis, and with Connections Academy, she can pursue a high quality education while keeping up with practice, training, and travel.

Cameron found her passion for tennis when she was 10 years old. She attends the Smith Stearns Tennis Academy on Hilton Head, where she has grown into a 5-star college recruit—she is currently the number one sophomore recruit in South Carolina. Additionally, Cameron is ranked #15 in the southern section of Junior United States Tennis Association. She plans to play Division I college tennis after graduation from SCCA.

Cameron trains on and off the court, four to five hours a day, and five days a week. SCCA offers Cameron the flexibility to meet her school obligations while providing time for her training and allowing her to compete in tournaments all over the country and internationally. This year, Cameron traveled to Puerto Rico and the Bahamas. In 2015, she is looking forward to competing in Panama, Costa Rica, and Puerto Rico.

In October 2014, because of her high South Carolina junior ranking, she was invited to play in her first professional tournament, The Rock Hill Open. Though she is often traveling, her teachers at SCCA are dedicated to helping her succeed academically and always available to assist. Her family appreciates their great support of Cameron and her efforts in both academics and athletics.

SCCA has been a great fit for me. I can benefit from a fantastic education while having the flexibility to pursue my passion for tennis.
