As a former secondary science teacher and instructional coach, Mr. McMurray has spent the past twenty years engaging students and staff through hands-on learning. He has been in the cyberworld since 2004 and arrived at Reach Cyber in the fall of 2016.
Mr. McMurray earned a Bachelor of Science degree in secondary education from Kutztown University and a Master of Science degree in science education from Walden University. Throughout his professional career, he has presented at a variety of regional and national iNACOL symposiums.
Mr. McMurray promotes STEM as an interdisciplinary, cross-curricular way of incorporating all subjects. He says, “I tell students that we are preparing them for jobs that don’t currently exist, for technology that hasn’t been invented yet, to fix problems of which we aren’t currently aware. It is all about developing skills and habits for learning, and we use STEM to do that.”
