The Role of Parental Involvement
The role that parents (or other responsible adults) take in their child’s education is entirely up to them. We do, however, encourage parents to be active participants because it is a powerful way to connect with their children and encourage them to learn. Through their engagement in learning activities, parents and other trusted adults can show the student that it's important to discover new things and obtain a good education.
At Reach Cyber Charter School, we call the parent or adult who works with the student at home a Learning Coach. We offer support and guidance so that Learning Coaches understand their responsibilities and know how they can help students be successful.
