Students are Making Good Progress

Nearly 97% of our parents say their children are satisfied with our program and are pleased with their child’s academic growth.

Now that my daughter has been doing school work at OKCA for a few months, and has achieved a 95% average, we are believers. I have seen her go from a discouraged girl who thought she was stuck in a system that was not working for her, to a girl who feels better, and is loving school again. The best part is what she said to me not too long ago— 'Mom, I can learn again!' Those were the best words she could have said to me!

I feel that OKCA gives my children a great opportunity to work from home, while providing stimulating, state-approved learning material to keep my boys working on or above their grade level. I feel that my fifth grader will be very prepared for the mandatory state testing, especially in the area of Math. The boys enjoy their Science explores and experiments. It keeps them engaged in the learning process in a more hands-on way. Whether it is online or in a brick-and-mortar school, parents will always play a vitally important role in the success of their children. I believe that online schools can definitely be successful as long as everyone works together for the children. Online schools do not take the place of the role of the parent in the learning equation. However, it provides tools to help both parents and students be successful together in a home environment.

Teachers Provide a High Level of Support

Nearly 97% of our parents praised the helpfulness of their child’s Connections Academy teacher. Our parents appreciate the dedication and professionalism of our teaching staff and report a high level of satisfaction with their work.

I cannot express how impressed I was with the teachers at OKCA program after just one conversation. We talked about Jacob's abilities and struggles. Rather than just accepting him into the program, we discussed the placement to make sure it would meet Jacob's needs. We discussed his current academic abilities and how to ensure all his needs are met.

I like the technology and teacher involvement the kids have with their teacher. I feel the teachers are sincere and want to work with the children as much as possible.

I absolutely love the support I get from the faculty and staff. Whenever I feel a bit overwhelmed, they are there with solutions and encouraging words.

From the beginning, we were impressed with the smooth transition we experienced coming to Connections Academy from a regular public school. Every single person that we had contact with treated us with respect and did everything they could to help us.

The Curriculum is High Quality

Nearly 98% of our parents agree that our curriculum is high quality. OKCA strives to bring together the best educational resources in order to create challenging and inspiring lessons for students.

OKCA offers the best curriculum to use and a knowledgeable staff. Their lessons provide access to Discovery® Channel streaming movies and Brain Pop® movies, tutorials to further explain what they are learning, and manipulatives for hands-on learning.

After looking into the possibilities, we decided to enroll Anna in Oklahoma Connections Academy because we were impressed with the curriculum and the flexibility of Anna schooling from home. Since enrolling, we've been even more impressed with the curriculum. Academically, Anna is being challenged in ways she was not in her traditional brick and mortar school. She's able to move forward at her own pace but still take extra time on lessons when she needs it. Additionally, the flexibility has become even more important than we realized it would be.

I like how fluid it is. I can change the lesson configurations to keep up with my child’s interests and difficulties.

The curriculum is well organized and the lessons are easy to follow.

I love the fact that the books are all provided for you along with the curriculum. The Skills Tutor and Brain Pop® are wonderful. I'm enjoying the easy use of the computer for scheduling and attendance.

Everything is geared to my child. Her strengths and weaknesses are all taken into consideration as the curriculum is set for her. She is in charge of her learning.

Technology Enhances the Learning Experience

Nearly 95% of families agreed that our technology tools helped to improve their children’s learning experiences. Many parents appreciated our proprietary Learning Management System for helping to keep them organized with grade tracking, scheduling, and communication.

OKCA gives my son the freedom to work at a pace that he is comfortable with. He is constantly challenged, and with the constant use of technology, he can really surprise me with his abilities.
