Samantha Hudzik is a senior at Ohio Connections Academy (OCA). She made the switch from another online charter school in search of a more challenging curriculum and a flexible program that would enable her to take college courses.
A member of the school’s National Honor Society and gifted and talented program, Samantha often speaks about how her OCA teachers and counselors never discouraged her from setting ambitious goals. “When I said I wanted to be taking college courses by the time I turned fifteen, my teachers encouraged me and showed me how to get there,” Samantha said.
With Connections Academy’s scheduling flexibility and accelerated graduation option, Samantha has been able to work toward her goal of graduating college early by taking courses at Malone University. She says, “Every [Connections Academy] teacher and administrator has helped me to grow and succeed and has enriched my entire learning experience.” Samantha is also actively involved in the university’s theater program.
Samantha is set to receive her bachelor’s degree in political science and communication arts a year after graduating from high school!
Every teacher and administrator has helped me to grow and succeed and has enriched my entire learning experience.
