Nathaniel Butler is a high school history teacher at North Carolina Connections Academy (NCCA). He holds a bachelor’s degree in environmental science from North Carolina State. Mr. Butler began his teaching career in 2006 and joined the Connections Academy team in 2016. He shares what he loves about teaching below.
“I began teaching because I wanted to be a positive role model for my students. I enjoy teaching at NCCA because of the use of technology, which I believe will be the wave of the future by changing the education paradigm. The NCCA school community shares a common goal of not just educating of the masses, but also of educating through critical thinking.
NCCA also helps students prepare for the future because it reflects what our society will look like as the use of technology increases in our world. We are not like anything that you and your child have experienced before; I encourage families to give NCCA the opportunity to demonstrate how effective we are as an education entity.”
