Read below to hear more about why she became a teacher:
“I teach because I love pushing students and helping them see that that they can do it. I teach because maybe they have never believed that before. One of my greatest accomplishments as an educator is knowing that I have made students see that they truly can do anything they set their minds to doing. In my experience, many of these students simply need someone to believe in them. I love giving them the confidence they need to achieve all their goals in life.
What I love about virtual education is how we can individualize instruction for students. Seeing students be able to succeed because of the flexibility in schedule, learning style, and one-on-one attention helps makes me feel optimistic about the future of education. This community is so special because everyone has a shared vision for student success and the flexibility to make it happen.”
In her spare time, Ms. Kirk loves to spend time outdoors kayaking, hiking, and camping. She also loves to read, especially historical fiction.
