Reach Cyber Charter School Awarded Accreditation by AdvancED global education commission

HARRISBURG, Pa. (August 9, 2019) – Reach Cyber Charter School today announced it has been granted accreditation by the North Central Association Commission on Accreditation and School Improvement (NCA CASI), the Northwest Accreditation Commission (NWAC) and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Accreditation and School Improvement (SACS CASI) – the three regional accrediting divisions of AdvancED.

As an accredited institution, Reach Cyber is part of the AdvancED global network of more than 34,000 schools and systems in more than 70 countries committed to continuous improvement. Using a set of rigorous research-based standards and evidence-based criteria, the AdvancED Performance Accreditation team examined Reach Cyber – its policies, programs, practices, learning conditions and cultural context – to determine how well each aspect work together to carry out the school’s vision and meet the needs of every student.

“Accreditation demonstrates to our students, parents and state that we are focused on fostering student achievement, providing a safe and enriching learning environment, and continuously improving an efficient and effective school staffed by highly qualified educators,” said Reach Cyber CEO Jane Swan.

To earn accreditation, Reach Cyber met the AdvancED standards and process which involves three ongoing components: 1) meeting high quality standards; 2) implementing a process of continuous improvement; and 3) engaging in quality assurance through internal and external review.
