Connections Academy, Leading Virtual Public School Provider, Kicks Off 2009-10 Enrollment Season on April 1st
Hosting Record Number of Parent Information Sessions Nationwide to Meet Growing Demand
BALTIMORE, March 23, 2009 — Connections Academy (CA), a leading national provider of high-quality, highly accountable K-12 virtual public schools, will launch enrollment for the 2009-2010 school year on April 1st, 2009. To meet the growing demand for information about its program, CA will host a record 360+ free information sessions nationwide in the coming months for parents seeking more information about CA’s exceptional public school program, delivered outside the traditional classroom.
At the events, parents and students will have an opportunity to learn about the CA curriculum, its proprietary online Learning Management System, and thoroughly explore the program. They can also interact with CA representatives and other families. A complete schedule with dates and locations is available at www.ConnectionsAcademy.com or by calling (800) 382-6010. For parents who are unable to attend in-person information sessions, online information sessions also have been scheduled.
CA schools deliver top-quality, personalized education for students that combines certified teachers; a proven curriculum; technology tools; and community experiences to create a supportive and successful environment for students who benefit from an individualized approach to education.
CA’s student enrollment and network of schools have both grown rapidly since opening its first schools, serving some 400 students in 2002. Today, 15 Connections Academy schools in 14 states serve over 16,000 students. This boom in demand—on the part of parents and students, as well as educational partners—stems from CA’s proven track record in helping students achieve their maximum potential for academic and personal success.
Connections Academy’s success has been documented by strong student performance on a wide range of measures, including earning an “A” grade from the Florida Department of Education and achieving Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP) measures in many Connections Academy schools. Equally significant, 93 percent of Connections Academy parents in the 2008-09 survey of CA parents gave the overall program a grade of “A” or “B.”
CA parents from across the country praise the CA educational program, its exceptional certified teachers, and high-quality curriculum:
“The most important reasons that we chose Connections Academy were a combination of having support from certified teachers, CITA accreditation, learning can take place at home, and our child can move ahead at her own pace. Also, the education was personalized and the curriculum was top-notch.'

“The Connections Academy program has helped my child one hundred percent. She has straight A's this year and her attitude towards learning has improved. She has a wonderful teacher and support staff. It has been one of the great blessings in our lives this year.'

“Connections Academy has brought my family into a world of enjoyable learning. The stress that once burdened my children has been lifted and now my children are learning at their own pace and retaining what they have learned.
