Why I Became a Teacher

I became a teacher to help those students who have been marginalized in the school system. I want to give them a voice as I did not have one when navigating through the system.

The Benefits of K-12 Online Learning

I value the fact that there is autonomy for our students. I know that the students appreciate how their courses allow them to go at their own pace and learn to navigate through an online setting. I make the curriculum relevant to the students by asking challenging questions such as “How does this still apply today?” or “How has this applied to your life?”

Switching from brick-and-mortar to online can be a tough transition, but there are many resources in place at Minnesota Connections Academy to help your child be successful.

My Interests

I really enjoy learning about other cultures and read books that are culturally enriching. This helps in the fight for equity and inclusion in our country. As a season ticket holder, I love to watch the Loons win at Allianz stadium.
