Rebecca Frank is a high school special education teacher at Great Lakes Cyber Academy (GLCA). She has been teaching at GLCA since 2013. She holds a bachelor of arts in elementary and special education from Spring Arbor University.
“I became a teacher to help students not only in their academic careers, but in their lives. Being an encourager and mentor for my students brings me so much joy. I love to watch them grow, learn, and be successful young people.”
Teaching at GLCA is a blessing for Ms. Frank because she enjoys working closely with colleagues to provide the best support possible for students. She says, “Everyone is willing to collaborate and really help each individual student. We don’t teach a ‘course,’ we teach ‘individual students’—and they are all unique.”
I encourage parents to get involved in their student’s schooling. At an online school, parents can closely watch their students grow and gain the responsibility to succeed!
