Larissa Lasselle is a middle school science teacher at Maine Connections Academy (MCA). She received a bachelor’s degree in environmental and biological science from Antioch College and a master’s degree in science and math education from Oregon State University.
Ms. Lasselle has three years of experience teaching middle school science at the Pine Ridge School on the Oglala Lakota Native American Reservation in South Dakota. Before moving to South Dakota, she taught fourth, fifth, and sixth grade math at a charter school in Oregon. She says, “I became a teacher to inspire students to love science, math and learning. I want to assist my students so that they can reach their full potential and become informed, critical thinkers.”
