Why I Became a Teacher
I picked up a job working in Pre-K while I was in college and found that I loved teaching. I ended up switching my major by the end of the semester.
The Online School Experience at Kansas Connections Academy
I love that I can build strong relationships with not only my students but also their families. I have worked with countless students that struggled in previous learning environments. Once they were able to receive more individualized attention through the joint effort of our teachers and their Learning Coaches, they now thrive at Kansas Connections Academy. We have a group of educators and staff members who are passionate about helping students succeed, and we have families that want to be involved deeply in their children's education. That makes for a powerful team.
I believe that education isn't a one-size-fits-all situation, and while Kansas Connections Academy may not be the best learning environment for every student, it's the perfect one for so many of our students and their families.
I have worked with countless students that struggled in previous learning environments who now thrive at Kansas Connections Academy.
