Henry Janzen is a high school student at Kansas Connections Academy (KCA). A former homeschooling family, the Janzens switched to online school looking for a home-based learning program with more structure. Henry enjoys his challenging courses, particularly web design and history. He also appreciates his kind teachers, who are always available to help him.
With scheduling flexibility, Henry is learning the importance of time management. “KCA has helped me learn to schedule my time well and understand the basics of literature and math. I am active with swim team, basketball, football, and scouts, but as long as I plan around my lessons, I can basically have free range on when to do my schoolwork,” he explains.
After graduating from high school, Henry plans to study film and T.V. production at the University of Southern California.
I like KCA because I have the ability to complete my lessons at any time or place of my choosing.
