Our emphasis on career readiness at Indiana Connections Career Academy provides students with the opportunity to focus on work-based courses that support career exploration, preparation, and training. Students can select from a program of study in one of Indiana’s top seven in-demand fields.
A career-focused high-school education allows students to explore interests, develop skills to succeed in the workforce, gain college credits or micro credentials, and acquire internships that may lead to future careers.

We begin by understanding each student’s personality, passions and concerns, and work with them to build a course schedule and ongoing learning path that fits who they are as a student and individual. It’s an approach that sees curriculum as opportunity. It makes sure that, even as your child stays on track to advance from one grade to the next, they’re following their passions, learning about themselves and growing into a strong and capable person.

Adapting Online Learning to Fit Your Child

When your student enrolls in our online public school, they’ll receive one-on-one attention focused on nurturing their strengths and helping them overcome the challenges they face. We call this Personalized Performance Learning®. It’s designed to fit who your student is and adapt with them as they change, grow and flourish.
When putting together and following your student’s Personalized Performance Learning plan, we:
- Review Their Background and Learning Needs, ensuring we understand who they are, what passions they want to pursue and what challenges they may face.
- Test Performance three times a year to get a sense of where they are in their learning, how they’re progressing and where they may need extra support.
- Find the Right Courses and Placement, connecting your student with the classes that fit them best.
- Set Goals to give your student, their teachers and you, as their Learning Coach, something to strive for.
- Communicate Regularly to discuss how things are going and whether we need to make any changes.
- Offer Modifications and Electives to ensure your student’s courses are working well with their online learning schedule and daily routine. Follow a more flexible school day

Keeping Students on the Right Track
One of the great benefits of online public school is that you, as your student’s Learning Coach, can follow their progress and lend a hand—or give a nudge—whenever they need. But at Indiana Connections Career Academy, you’ll be far from alone in supporting your student. Teachers will also be there, making sure your student is thriving, and acting quickly if they are struggling. Whether your student just needs some additional resources or whether they could use small group or one-on-one instruction, our teachers will make it happen. So your student can continue toward their goals.
