BA, Cultural Anthropology; MS, Secondary Education and History
Scott Cooper is a secondary social studies teacher at Indiana Connections Academy (INCA). Mr. Cooper has been teaching since 2009. He holds a bachelor of arts degree in cultural anthropology, and a master of arts degree in secondary education and history. Mr. Cooper shares his story below:
“After spending many years in the business world, I became a substitute teacher to fill some extra time and fell in love with teaching. The first time I walked into a classroom, I knew I found a profession that combined my passion for education and history. History allows diverse people with different means of expression to share their stories, which helps students to realize that they are storytellers of their generation.
I love INCA because I’m able to reach students with a myriad of backgrounds and explore the similarities in all of us.”
