Staci Williams is a secondary school language arts teacher at Indiana Connections Academy (INCA). She has been teaching at INCA since it was founded in 2010. Staci holds a bachelor’s degree and is currently completing her master’s degree in English education. She holds a certification in social studies for fifth through ninth grades. Here’s Ms. William’s story below.
"I became a teacher because I really love working with kids, especially middle school students. Some people find that crazy. Middle school is an awkward time in most students’ lives. But I love them at that age!
There are so many things I love about teaching here at INCA! I love that I get to know my students and their parents on an individual basis. I love that I can spend lots of time working with students to help them grow as writers. I have already noticed so much growth and amazing writing ability from my INCA students this year. I can’t wait to see how well they do on the standardized tests. I also love how our curriculum department works very hard to align lessons to our standards and challenge our students, so the teachers have time to focus on teaching."
