Melissa Miecznikowski started teaching in 1999 and joined Great Lakes Learning Academy in 2021. She teaches Spanish to students in grades 9–-12.
Why She Became a Teacher
According to Ms. Miecznikowski, “I became a teacher to help people learn and succeed in life.
“I consider myself more than a Spanish teacher. I have coached students on succeeding in achieving learning objectives, taught them how to construct a résumé, reviewed with them how to pay bills, and other life necessities.
“I have met and collaborated with many students at Great Lakes Learning Academy who have learning disabilities, advancing them to success.”
“I have helped a lot of students graduate, and I take pride in assisting students who have different needs.”
