Neva Johnson is the lead counselor at Oklahoma Connections Academy. She joined the Oklahoma Connections Academy family in 2016 and loves helping students develop confidence in their abilities. The Online School Experience at Oklahoma Connections Academy
An online school offers flexibility and creates the opportunity for individualized, uninterrupted time with students. There is much more one-on-one interaction with students, and we work as a team in supporting students’ academic, social, and emotional growth. As a school counselor, post-secondary education is important for my students. Oklahoma Connections Academy prepares for this transition academically by providing opportunities for students to develop self-regulation and time management skills. Both are critical in post-secondary endeavors. Our school community is like a family, and everyone is united in supporting each other and our students.
