Prior Public Schooling Limitations
All students that have previously attended public school, private school, or homeschool are eligible to enroll.
You may need to provide additional documentation if any of the following circumstances apply:
- Custody order: If your legal guardianship is determined by a court order, please submit a copy of the order.
- IEP and Evaluation:If your student has had an Individualized Education Program (IEP) within the past three years, please submit a copy of the most recent IEP containing supporting evaluation documentation, as well as the most recent Determination of Eligibility. During the enrollment process, a screening team will review the student's Individualized Education Program (IEP) to determine whether a free appropriate public education ("FAPE") is available for the student. If the screening team finds that the application requests a significant change of placement or raises other concerns about the student's ability to access FAPE, the School shall convene a complete IEP team to make the final determination. For more information, contact us at 800-382-6010.
- 504 Plan:If your student has had a Section 504 plan within the past three years, please submit a copy of the most recent 504 plan. During the enrollment process, the special education director, or designee, or a team shall review the 504 plan and determine whether a free appropriate public education (FAPE) is available for the student in a virtual environment. During the review process, the 504 team may determine that a re-evaluation is required. If the 504 team determines the virtual school is not your child’s least restrictive environment and your student will not be able to receive FAPE in the virtual school, then your student’s current placement shall remain as determined by the prior 504 plan.
