"I am passionate about science. I became a teacher because I love connecting with people through the creative and exploratory nature of scientific discovery. Being a part of my students' journey as they gain knowledge and comprehension on the subject is exciting!
Our curriculum at Colorado Connections Academy is excellent, and there are many ways students can enrich their learning experience. Students gain many skills in an online learning environment that will help them navigate a world that is becoming more connected and distributed through technology.
I enjoy the transparency and friendly communication among staff, students, and Learning Coaches. It helps to align everyone's expectations and to develop personalized attainable goals for our students' academic success. It's been a pleasure to participate in the many high-quality field trips, where I'm able to meet the students and their families outside of the virtual classroom. It's been so rewarding to provide diverse educational experiences!
Also, the online learning environment allows me to have less physical constraints on where I can be—both while working and where I'm working. I teach environmental science and biology, so having the flexibility to experience the natural environment while I teach on the subject has been a great benefit both personally and in my virtual LiveLesson® classroom."
In his free time, Mr. Chezick enjoys competing in a physique class for the National Physique Committee's bodybuilding shows. He also enjoys slow-smoking food and watching Star Trek.
