Aruwin Salehhuddin is a seventh grade student at Colorado Connections Academy (ColoCA). She and her family moved from Washington to Colorado, where Aruwin has more opportunities to pursue her passion for ski racing and figure skating. A competitive athlete, she switched to online learning looking for more scheduling flexibility. Now at ColoCA, Aruwin can work at a time that works best for her without falling behind in schoolwork. “ColoCA's flexibility helps me a lot because I'm so busy—it works really well with my tight schedule. The teachers are also very good. This program is awesome,” she shares.
Since enrolling with ColoCA, Aruwin has become a more independent student and learned to manage her time well. Her favorite subjects are math and English—she particularly likes the school's digital arts program.
In the future, Aruwin would like to become an architect or industrial designer after retiring from being a professional ski racer or figure skater.
