Stacy’s daughter is a competitive gymnast. By choosing ARCA, she is getting a great education, has more time to practice gymnastics, finds time to volunteer, and is able to be active in her church.
Our daughter joined Arkansas Connections Academy (ARCA) in 2016 as a seventh grader. She is a competitive gymnast with a busy schedule of practice, camps, and meets. I have a full-time night job and own a gymnastics facility, where I also coach, and my husband works full-time days. We also have a high school student. Needless to say, we have a very demanding schedule that can be very crazy.
Both of our daughters have been in private school since pre-K, so 2016 was a big change for us. The oldest wanted to try traditional public high school, and the youngest had been begging for years to be homeschooled so she could spend more time working out in the gym. With my schedule, there was no way I could fit in a homeschool curriculum. Luckily, we found ARCA!
Our daughter has always excelled in school, but she wanted the chance to study outside the classroom at her own pace. ARCA has worked out great for us. We love that the curriculum is lined out, access to the teachers is obtainable, the virtual classrooms allow interaction among teachers and students, and homework can be done at all hours of the day, even while on the road traveling. We have had the opportunity to meet her teachers and other families in person at school events. Our daughter has made good friends with a couple of her classmates. I love that I have access to all of the homework.
Our daughter has a tendency to do her schoolwork late at night. While I am at work, I can log into her assignments and make sure that she has completed everything and is staying on track.
By choosing ARCA, our daughter is continuing with great education, getting more time to practice her gymnastics, finding time to volunteer at a youth horse ranch and remaining active in her church. We look forward to another great (busy) year!
