Daniel Cisar is a teacher at Arkansas Connections Academy (ARCA). He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in sociology from the University of Missouri and began his teaching career in 2014. He started teaching at ARCA in March 2017. Mr. Cisar’s story is below:
“I have always had the desire to make a difference in other people’s lives. I have a background working with children. I enjoy making an impact. I used to work at a daycare while in college. I was a youth pastor at a church for a couple of years through college. Knowing the difference that my teachers made encouraged me to do the same for others.
There is no other environment like ARCA. We have an incredible group of teachers who truly want to see their students succeed. The style of teaching is different, and we have the ability to spend more time educating, instead of managing behavior. The rigorous curriculum is top-notch. If you can complete these courses, then you will learn real-life information and succeed in college.
ARCA’s school community is so special because of the students and their families. They are each here for a different reason, but it is wonderful seeing them come together at events and getting to know each other better. I am excited for another amazing school year!”
When he is not teaching, Mr. Cisar loves spending time with his family. He also enjoys all kinds of sports and video games.
