Educational Field Trips of Our Arizona Online School
Bringing Lessons and Friendships to Life
Arizona Connections Academy (ACA) virtual school offers field trips throughout the year that are both educational and fun. From the living stalagmites of Kartchner Caverns, to the pueblos of Walnut Canyon, to the zoo and botanical gardens of the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum, Arizona’s diverse resources are part of the curriculum at ACA.
Community coordinators, parents, and teachers arrange educational virtual school field trips to venues such as museums, historic sites, botanical gardens, and state parks. There are even non-school-related outings like picnics, roller skating, and more!
Virtual school field trips are excellent opportunities to meet other parents, students, and teachers face-to-face, but they also provide an opportunity to round out the Arizona online school experience in real-world ways. Through field trips, virtual classroom students learn life lessons that build upon their course lessons while also making meaningful connections with their peers.
Exploring College and Beyond
ACA offers educational field trips to colleges and universities, college fairs, and even businesses for online middle and high school students so they may explore and prepare for the future. The optional Career Club allows students to learn about potential careers and explore fields that interest them, while the College Planning Club guides high school students through the college preparation and admissions process.
