Wyoming Connections Academy Field Trips
Bringing Lessons to Life
Whether exploring Wyoming’s frontier past at the Buffalo Bill Historical Center, enjoying the present at a hayride, or considering the future at our State Capitol, our students connect and learn on field trips throughout our state.
At WYCA, we integrate Wyoming’s rich cultural, historical and natural resources into our curriculum to bring classroom lessons to life. With the help of Community Coordinators, WYCA offers students:
- Excursions to nature preserves, wildlife museums, and parks to explore our native plants, animals, and geography.
- Cultural outings to deepen their understanding of art, music, and theater.
- History tours to vividly trace the impact of the past on the present.
- Excursions to connect math and science concepts to practical living and working applications.
- Local outings to farms, parks, and businesses to connect students with one another and the community they live in.
Just for fun
At WYCA, we’re just as committed to your student’s social and personal development as his or her academic performance. So we schedule events just for fun too, including our end-of-the year picnic, ice cream socials, and local get-togethers like our recent guacamole-making session at a taqueria (taco shop) in Jackson.
Exploring Life after Graduation
