Tuition-free, Online School from Home

Established in July 2009, Jackson Hole Connections Academy (JHCA) is a tuition-free, K–12 online public school that students attend from home. JHCA brings a fully accredited public education directly to your family’s door—anywhere in Wyoming.

Authorized under State Law by the Teton County School District No. 1

JHCA is authorized under state law as a distance learning program of the Teton County School District No. 1 and operates under the Wyoming Switchboard Network. The district representative for this school is Glenna Weaver, gweaver@tcsd.org. The school is operated through a contract with Connections Academy, LLC, to provide its educational program and other services.

Meet Our Principal, Ben Kolb

JHCA Principal Ben Kolb is a veteran educator with 18 years of experience teaching middle and high school science and as many years serving as high school principal. Having successfully launched a Connections Academy school in Missouri and expanded the Oregon Connections Academy, he’s excited about reaching students in every corner of Wyoming through online education. “Regardless of where you live, JHCA can bring the quality education directly to your door. Online education gives families the freedom to live where they choose, as they choose, knowing their children still have the best available education.”

Mr. Kolb holds a BA degree in Geology from San Jose State University. A native Californian and an avid cyclist, he enjoys exploring Wyoming’s beauty at every opportunity --on cycling adventures, on our student field trips, and at community events.

The JHCA curriculum is designed by national education experts and customized to meet state standards. Bringing together the best in print and online resources with Connections Academy proprietary instructional tools, the JHCA curriculum is designed to engage students of every level, at every level. Our goal is simple: To ensure that all students have the resources to succeed.
