WCA Field Trips

Students from Wisconsin Connections Academy take part in an educational field trip to Mitchell Park Domes—see the beautiful photo essay in the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.
Bringing Lessons to Life
From the mysteries of the Cave of the Mounds and Appleton’s own Harry Houdini, to the wildlife and ecosystems of the Great Lakes, Wisconsin’s rich natural, cultural, and historical resources become part of the classroom at Wisconsin Connections Academy.
WCA welcomes students and their families on dozens of field trips throughout the state where we bring classroom lessons to life with:
- Eco-tours of our rivers, lakes, mountains, and caverns where students explore the interconnections of biology, ecology, and geology.
- Cultural outings that deepen their understanding of art, music, and theater.
- History tours that vividly trace the impact of the past on the present.
- Excursions that connect math and science concepts to practical living and working applications.
Just for Fun
At WCA, we’re just as committed to your student’s social and personal development as his or her academic performance. So we schedule field trips just for fun too, including:
- Roller skating, arcade, and miniature golf outings.
- An annual book fair, winter crafts and games day, and end-of-year picnic.
