Texas Connections Academy @ Houston is a Connections Academy program that started in January, 2009. Although we do not yet have performance results for Texas Connections Academy @ Houston, we have already heard from many parents about their successes in the program.
I had always homeschooled our children, so they’ve never had a teacher other than me. This program has opened new avenues for my family in many ways. Connections Academy has given us the tools of an accredited program to really bring educating our children to a higher level of success. I remember receiving the "school in a box." My emotions were so off the chart that I could hardly hold back my excitement. Our daughter was giddy and giggling intensely and all the while I held the same feelings inside. Then I pulled out the lesson plan workbooks and that was my breaking point....I screamed with uncontrollable laughter, picked up the phone and called my husband and told him, ‘This is a DREAM to have everything you need for day to day, week after week.’ The program has plans, actual plans, that you don't have to spend hours of the day and night trying to put together. We are in an awesome program that increases my zeal to keep our children learning every day. Thanks Connections Academy!

It's flexible so we can work when it's convenient for us, and we don't have to arrange our schedule around school work. Also, we can spend more time as a family. It's about being able to be together.

It's gone great for us. One of the best things about Texas Connections Academy @ Houston is our son's teacher. She is very encouraging and supportive. If she doesn't have answers, she's very quick to go find them. Also, my son has turned out to be so disciplined with the program; he has really taken responsibility for his studies.
