Texas Connections Academy @ Houston Parents

Involved, caring, and committed, our parents tell us there is nothing more rewarding than helping their children learn. Parents at TCAH don’t merely expect daily involvement in their children’s education; they embrace it. From supervising lessons to participating in field trip planning, to collaborating with teachers, our parents become full partners in the learning process—with plenty of support from TCAH and a vibrant network of fellow parents. Parents Say ...

“A lot of prospective parents ask what the time commitment for the parent is. Some people think because of the flexibility they’ll be able to let kids work on their own. And there will come a time when you can do that. But the Learning Coach has to be there available for the child. You can’t let the child do work on their own and think everything is just going to be okay. You have to be as committed as your child...to be a part of their learning experience. The support needs to be there from the Learning Coach or parents so the student feels it’s an important thing in their lives.”
