Tuition-free Online School from Home

Texas Connections Academy @ Houston (TCAH) is a tuition-free, online public school that students attend from home. TCAH brings a fully accredited public education directly to your family’s door—anywhere in Texas.

Texas Connections Academy @ Houston is provided in partnership with the Houston Independent School District (HISD) under the terms of the Texas Electronic Course Program (eCP). The school serves students statewide and follows a standard school calendar.

Parents pay no tuition for students to attend Texas Connections Academy @ Houston. Students are considered to be enrolled in a public school.

Meet Lee Ann Lockard, TCAH Principal

Lee Ann Lockard As principal of Texas Connections Academy since 2009, Lea Ann believes in challenging the norm and providing alternatives to the traditional brick and mortar school. An education innovator, she's been recognized as the Texas Education Support Association's Administrator of the Year and received the National Dropout Prevention Network's Crystal Star Award of Excellence. She shares her expertise on topics ranging from curriculum and instruction to collaboration and leadership at local, state, and national conferences and on various educational groups and committees.

A committed volunteer, Lea Ann served four years as an EMT in rural communities and currently serves as chairman of the Spring Branch Public Safety Cooperative and on the Meadows Marlins Swim Team Board.

Education:

Bachelor of Business Administration in Management from Angelo State University
Master of Education in Mid Management from Prairie View A&M University
24 graduate hours in Career and Technology Education from Texas A&M University at Corpus Christi.
