Gifted and talented students thrive at Connections Academy. With individualized lesson plans, advanced courses, and specialized teachers, we create an environment where talents are nurtured and potential is realized.

In high school, Connections Academy's counselors advise students on their academic plans and create a four-year plan that meets their goals. Advanced students enjoy a rigorous college-preparatory curriculum that challenges and prepares them to excel in future studies.

Challenging the Gifted High School Student

Connections Academy's curriculum challenges gifted high school students to stretch their abilities and sharpen their critical thinking skills. With a wide array of honors courses, we engage the budding historian or writer as well as the math whiz and scientist. With eighteen Advanced Placement (AP) courses ranging from Art History to Macroeconomics to World History, we prepare students for the national AP tests that can earn them college credit.

In some Connections Academy schools, advanced students also may take courses at a local university and earn credit toward both high school graduation and college. Ask a Connections Academy counselor about the availability of this option at your school.
