Justin Myrick
Justin is a 13-year-old eighth grader at South Carolina Connections Academy (SCCA). He lives in Spartanburg, South Carolina. Justin is a young actor who enjoys roller skating, swimming, dance and singing. Justin has been cast on three TV shows in California because of the flexibility that Connections Academy offers.
Justin has filmed several shows including BrainSurge (Nickelodeon), Modern Family (ABC), Children's Hospital (Adult Swim). He also starred in an independent short film entitled David's Boat and a commercial for the Frazee Center. He was cast in an elite dance crew in Los Angeles.
“Justin's entertainment career began to take off in the fall of 2009. He had an audition for Disney's The Lion King in New York in November. The audition lasted several days; so he missed that time out of public school. He had already missed a day of school in October because he was on the set of his first commercial. It was too stressful to have him try to make up all of the missed work from school or try to do his work while traveling. So, we had to make an alternative arrangement. Fortunately, we kept seeing the Connections Academy commercial on TV and they emphasized that they had flexible scheduling. That was just what we were looking for. We enrolled him in Connections Academy and it has been wonderful. The flexibility that the school offers has given us the ability to take on bigger projects. He has been able to book three national TV shows since enrolling in Connections Academy. Next week, he will be auditioning on Broadway in N.Y.C. That is possible because of the flexible school schedule that he has. We love Connections Academy!”
