About Us
Connections Academy, LLC, a national leader in virtual education, is philosophically dedicated to the idea that individualized instruction, high-quality curriculum, parental involvement, and exceptional teachers are the cornerstones of student achievement. We combine these elements to create an educational experience that is far more than a set of online courses—our schools are virtual learning communities that connect students, teachers, and families through 21st century technology tools and real-time interaction.
Our History
Connections Academy opened its first public virtual school programs in two states in the fall of 2002. Since then, Connections Academy has grown to provide high-quality, highly accountable, full-time, turnkey public school programs in 14 states. In 2008–09, more than 18,000 students were enrolled in Connections Academy schools.
National Connections Academy (NaCA) is the company’s private K–12 school and served more than 1,500 students in 2008-09. Based in Baltimore, MD, NaCA began as a pilot program in 2003 as demand for Connections Academy’s educational program grew beyond those states in which Connections Academy had public schools.
2009 Summer School
Registration is now closed for summer school. We will be offering summer school sessions again for summer 2010 so check back for course offerings and registration details.
