Meredith is a twelve-year-old seventh grader with Commonwealth Connections Academy (CCA). She has been doing gymnastics since she could walk and has never looked back. She started competing at 6-years-old, quickly moving through the compulsory levels, winning many meets around the state and the region. >

She is now a level 9 gymnast with Parkettes Gymnastics National Training Center in Allentown, PA. She is hoping to qualify as an elite gymnast soon. This would put her on the track to have a chance to make the national team when she is older. Her favorite event is the balance beam in which she scored a 9.85 last year. Her meets this year will take her to many places including Phoenix, Virginia Beach, and Montreal.

She started CCA due to her gymnastics training schedule. The flexibility of CCA has enabled her to travel to meets, as well as practice six-days-a-week, totaling 40 plus hours most weeks. On a typical day, Meredith will train from 9:30 a.m. unitl 5:00 p.m. and then complete her schoolwork in the evenings and on weekends. The seventh grade curriculum at Connections has been challenging and engaging. With Connections Academy, she is able to be a successful student, as well as a top level athlete. Her teammates are also all Connections Academy students.

"Connection's Academy helps me with my gymnastics schedule. Without it, I couldn't be the gymnast I am today."
