Maurice Flurie
CEO of Commonwealth Connections Academy
"As CEO of Commonwealth Connections Academy, I am committed to maintaining three words at the forefront of our school’s focus; opportunity, choice, and service. When a child is enrolled with CCA, his or her family has made a choice to provide a unique and challenging educational opportunity. We are honored that families have chosen CCA, and we appreciate the opportunity to serve children in partnership with their families.
In my 20 years as a school administrator, I have never worked with a staff so dedicated to serving students and families. My role as CEO is to support and serve these caring professionals so they may better support all of our students.
I work as an adjunct instructor for Wilkes University, teaching graduate courses in Educational Law, Current Issues in Education, School Finance, and Educational Psychology.
In my free time, I am an avid bicyclist, and enjoy riding on the beautiful roads and trails of Pennsylvania. I also enjoy spending time sailing with family and friends as well as many other outdoor activities."
