Community Coordinators
Connections Academy encourages events, trips, study sessions, and other activities that offer educational and social benefits for students and their families. These activities also provide wonderful opportunities for families to meet face to face with principals and teachers, who often attend these events as well.
Role of Community Coordinators
Each Connections Academy school designates parents or teachers to serve as community coordinators. The community coordinators organize local events and field trips and publicize them to families in the school.
Events to Interact and Learn
Past events have provided many opportunities for students to interact and learn. Here are just a few of the exciting activities organized by our community coordinators each year:
- Visits to museums, gardens and planetariums
- A ride on a historical railroad
- Tour and meeting with a legislator at the state capitol
