OCA Teachers Make a Difference

Exceptional. Accessible. Compassionate. Knowledgeable. Effective. That’s what parents say repeatedly about OCA’s teachers in the hundreds of daily evaluations submitted since we opened our doors in 2003.

At OCA, we’re committed to retaining the best state-certified teachers available. In fact, every teacher at OCA is recognized as highly qualified by the state of Ohio and six of our teachers are designated as Master Teachers by the Ohio Department of Education. OCA teachers are also highly educated holding a variety of degrees including Ph.D., Master's, and Bachelor's degrees. Trained and experienced in online learning and virtual classroom management, our dedicated teachers provide:

• Engaging and effective classroom instruction.
• Individualized attention and one-on-one tutoring as necessary.
• Ongoing communication with students and Learning Coaches.
• Personalized instructional programs and continuous progress tracking.

Within our highly individualized learning system, our teachers know their students—whether they need extra help or a new challenge.

With over 100 teachers working in three teaching centers across the state, our teachers collaborate to share ideas, information, and teaching techniques with our OCA families.

Congratulations Ray Lambert!

2010 School Leader of the Year: In November 2010, Mr. Lambert was named School Leader of the Year by the Ohio Alliance for Public Charter Schools (OAPCS). Mr. Lambert received the award during the Association’s 2010 State Conference for his contributions to increasing student achievement and enhancing the quality of education within Ohio’s charter schools.
