Taylor Galonski

Taylor is an 18-year-old senior at Ohio Connections Academy (OCA). She lives in Lancaster, Ohio. Taylor is a competitive figure skater who competed in the 2007 Junior National Championships.

Taylor is passionate about figure skating and her involvement with Ohio Connections Academy has enabled her to train with many elite coaches and athletes throughout the United States. According to her mother, the flexibility of the program allows her to train long days, yet able to do her schoolwork when she has breaks throughout the day, evenings and on weekends, as well. Taylor often trains daily, three-to-four hours on the ice and an additional one-to-two hours doing off-ice, which includes Pilates, ballet, conditioning and dance.

This is Taylor’s first year as a student at Ohio Connections Academy. Taylor's favorite subject is English and she really enjoyed her digital photography class that she took as an elective her first semester. Taylor’s mother states that “We decided to enroll in OCA due to the fact that they offer Honors and AP classes, which I felt she would need to make sure she would have that competitive edge when the time came to apply for colleges.”
