Kimberly Yee
Kimberly is a 15-year-old ninth grader from Nevada Connections Academy (NCA). She lives in Las Vegas, Nevada. Kimberly is the top ranked tennis player in Nevada and is ranked #2 nationally. She tells her story below.
"Before I enrolled at NCA, I was home-schooled for several years. I was home-schooled because I am a tennis player and I needed a school that could be flexible with my schedule. I first found about NCA through Ryan Wolfington, the Executive Director of USTA-Nevada. I thought it would be a great idea to try out this new online school program and I could not be happier with this school!
I normally base my favorite subject off the teacher and how much they help me and keep me interested in the subject. But in this program every single teacher e-mails me daily and keeps me updated with my progress.
At NCA, I love the flexibility and the communication that I have with the teachers. They always answer my email quickly and every time I call they are there to answer the phone and help me with what I need. This online school program is exactly what I needed to help me out with my tennis."
