Welcome to the Missouri Virtual Instruction Program
The Missouri Virtual Instruction Program (MoVIP) is a statewide program that allows Missouri students to take virtual courses on a part-time or full-time basis. MoVIP was created by the Missouri State Legislature and is administered by the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE). DESE chose Connections Academy to provide the entire MoVIP K–5 program under a contract that expires at the end of the 2008–09 school year. For 2009–10, DESE has reorganized MoVIP to centralize some operations and offer multiple curriculum providers.
The State of Missouri is currently in the process of selecting MoVIP curriculum providers for the 2009–10 school year. Connections Academy is one of the curriculum providers being evaluated.
Meanwhile, the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education has posted information about registering for MoVIP at http://www.movip.org/registration/ and has indicated that registration for 2009–10 will begin on April 14, 2009.
All registrations for any MoVIP courses for 2009–10 will be handled through the DESE Web site regardless of curriculum providers. You will not be able to enroll in any MoVIP courses through the Connections Academy Web site.
Please check the Connections Academy Web site frequently for up-to-date information about the availability of our curriculum in Missouri in 2009–10.
