Mississippi Virtual Public School

Students in grades 6–12 throughout Mississippi now have access to Connections Education's innovative online courses and experienced, responsive teachers. The Mississippi Department of Education (MDE) is partnered exclusively with Connections Education to operate Mississippi’s statewide supplemental online program, the Mississippi Virtual Public School (MVPS).

Established by legislation in 2006, the Mississippi Virtual Public School is a tuition-free program that offers students the option to enroll in online courses to supplement their traditional brick-and-mortar education. Connections Education’s dynamic courses engage every type of learner and will meet students’ need for Advanced Placement and foreign language courses. Mississippi students will be able to choose from online courses such as:

  • Chemistry
  • French
  • Calculus
  • Journalism
  • AP Computer Science
  • and much more

Are you ready to expand your opportunities with MVPS and Connections Education online courses? Interested students are required to gain approval from their local school before they can take online courses through MVPS.
