Mollie Schlueter
Mollie is a 18-year-old senior at MTS Minnesota Connections Academy (MTSMCA). She lives in Nicollet, Minnesota. Mollie is passionate about horses and loves music. She enjoys spending her free time with friends and family. Her favorite academic subjects are Spanish and math. She tells her story in her own words below.
“I have been a student at MTSMCA for about four years. Before I came to MTSMCA, I was really struggling in math. Once I started in this program, my math comprehension and grades improved a lot! Now math is easier and more enjoyable for me. MTSMCA is a school program that conforms to your needs, challenges you, pushes and motivates you to progress to higher levels of education than a traditional school ever could.
I have horses and I love to go horseback riding and work with horses on the ground. I also play guitar and the piano, and I love to sing and write music. I have a lot of friends and family and I am always doing something with them so my schedule is always very busy. So naturally, the first thing that drew me to MTSCA was the flexibility that it offered, while being a structured schooling program. I like that I still have teachers for each subject and that I am still expected to get my school work done in a timely manner. At MTSMCA, I don’t feel like I am taking the "high road" or just breezing my way through school just because I am homeschooled.”
