Fusion Academy of Michigan—Earn Your Diploma
Fusion Academy of Michigan offers students who have previously terminated their high school education the opportunity to earn a high school diploma, not a GED. Our students benefit from a learning model that combines:
- Instruction led by highly-qualified and certified Michigan teachers.
- State standards aligned online curriculum delivered through Connexus®, our education management system.
- Support from caring teachers either online or on-site (or a blend of both!).
Fusion Academy of Michigan students follow a customized academic program aligned to state standards and created to meet their specific needs, with the goal of earning credits and graduating with a high school diploma. Students who need to repeat a course have the opportunity to take credit recovery courses. This allows them to earn credits more quickly than through traditional courses. To participate in Fusion Academy of Michigan, students must be younger than 20 years of age prior to September 1, 2011.
Flexible Schedules with Online and Blended Learning Options
Students in Detroit will generally attend classes at one of our two Detroit-based campuses. Students with good academic performance have the opportunity to earn the privilege of checking out a laptop and performing some of their coursework from home. Students outside of Detroit or with special circumstances are able to complete all of their coursework from home.
