In grades K–6, the Learning Coach is an essential part of the KCA team. In addition to getting a personalized learning plan tailored to each student’s individual strengths and challenges, every lesson includes clear, easy-to-follow instructions for the Learning Coach. Every student is unique and, at KCA, the customized curriculum is unique to every student.
Follow a Fourth-Grader
Curious how all these resources come together? Just follow a fourth-grader.
On Monday, Tracy joins her class online for Mrs. Wright's Social Studies LiveLesson® session on Kansas’ pioneer days. With colorful maps and an illustrated text, Mrs. Wright traces the path of the Santa Fe Trail and paints a vivid picture of frontier life. On her own, Tracy follows the instructions in her text and Teachlet® tutorial to create a timeline relating the trail, railroads, and our country’s westward migration.
On Saturday, fun meets fact as Tracy and her class re-live the days of the Wild West in a field trip to historic Dodge City. From cattle drives to commerce, it’s another KCA adventure in state history.
